The Hikvision DS-2CD2542FWD-I is a high quality Flat Mini Dome Camera and can be used in an internal or external environment. This 4MP Dome IP Camera comes with a 4mm Fixed lens as standard. This camera also supports all the latest technology that HIKVISION offers such as H.264+, 3D DNR, Digital WDR, BLC, ezviz cloud facility and there are WiFi (-IW) versions of this camera available.
Most cameras will struggle when asked to view entrances or areas where external light shines in. The Digital WDR functionality incorporated in this camera helps capture clear images in these strongly-lit and/or high-contrast environments, without compromising image quality or colour accuracy.
The camera must be used with a Hikvision NVR or attached directly to a router/switch. You will need to connect the camera using a Patch Cable. The maximum distance between the camera and the NVR/router is 100 metres - if you need to go further you will need a network switch for every extra 100 metres.
