The Hikvision DS-2CD2622FWD-I is a 2MP Bullet Camera with Vari Focal Lens, Wide Dynamic Range and comes with a micro SD card slot.

If you require a full IP 2 Megapixel quality camera in a bullet housing with the facility of adjusting the lens at the time of installation to obtain the best possible target view this camera is one of the best available. If you would like the facility of zooming the lens remotely there is a motorized lens version of this camera available for an extra €85.00 inc vat.

The camera provides true day night surveillance and 30 meters of illumination in complete darkness. The IRs will only operate when the lights levels have dropped and the camera can no longer provide colour video.

The POE (power over ethernet) function allows one CAT5 or CAT6 cable to be connected to the camera and video and power can be transmitted. A separate POE switch is required for this facility. Quite a lot of the HIKVISION NVRs (Network Video Recorders) come with individual POE slots on board, in this case one just connects in the camera, searches for it, enables and saves the settings. There is a restriction distance of 100 meters with all IP cameras, if you need to go further than the initial 100 meters you will need to install a network switch  for every subsequent 100 meters, this is applicable to all IP cameras.

With wide dynamic range the camera will deal with all challenging lighting applications such as scenes with extremely bright and dark areas and back light situations where people are standing in doorways, or on front of windows etc. A standard camera will struggle to produce any quality image where as the WDR feature allows the camera to see objects and persons in both bright and dark areas.

This camera also comes with one of HIKVISION's newest features, Line Detection. This can be used in various applications the most obvious one being on a perimeter fence. Via the software a line is drawn along the fence, if a person breaches the fence the system will send alarms. The camera will also draw a square around the intruder. 

With 3D noise detection the camera will provide a smooth digital 2MP image without any grainy noise.

The camera comes with an IP ingress protection of 66 (Dust proof & Waterproof) and can be used in all outdoor or indoor applications. It is best suited if you require an overt camera on your home or in any commercial environment such as warehouses, retail parks, schools and churches.
