The Hikvision DS-7616NI-E2-16P/A is a Network Video Recorder (NVR) offering 16 Channels of high quality, Real Time recording.

With 16 ports of POE (power over ethernet) built in, there is no requirement for powering any of the 16 cameras. Simply connect the cameras to the NVR via a Patch Lead. The maximum distance for transmission of the cameras over the built in POE is 100 meters. If you require longer distance a separate POE switch is required. 

The NVR will support Cameras up to 5MP but as this system comes with 160Mbps incoming bandwidth it is most suitable for  2MP, 3MP and 4MP Network IP cameras.
